케임브릿지 사전은 'undercut'을 "to charge less than a competitor(경쟁자보다 낮은 가격을 청구하다)"라고 정의했다.

"Big supermarkets can undercut all rivals, especially small family-owned shops(거대 슈퍼마켓들은 경쟁자들보다, 특히 가족이 운영하는 가게보다 저가로 제품을 공급할 수 있다)."

"They claim to undercut their competitors by at least five percent(그들은 경쟁자들보다 최소한 5% 저렴하게 판다고 주장한다)."

콜린스 사전은 'undercut'을 "to charge less than (a competitor) in order to obtain trade(장사를 하기 위해 (경쟁자보다) 낮은 가격을 청구하다)"라고 설명했다.

옥스퍼드 학습자 사전은 'undercut'을 "to sell goods or services at a lower price than your competitors(경쟁자보다 낮은 가격으로 제품이나 서비스를 팔다)"라고 풀이했다.
